"Barshanam Bharat shresthah"

"Barshanam Bharat shresthah" (Skandh Purana)
"India was the motherland of our race, and Sanskrit the mother of Europe's languages:
she was the mother of our philosophy; mother, through the Arabs, of much"-
William James Durant(1885-1981)
Ratnakar dhoutpadam himalaya kiritinam
The most admirable, sacred nation Bharath(India that is Bharat instead of Bharat that
is India in our constituition) which has glorious past, being universal, considerable &
reconciling figure among other countrieswitnessed a precipitous fall in her reputation.
Vivacious visage, noble bearing, keen eyes & warm & disarming smile of Bharat mata
has already turned bimired. Creative capitalismis being increasingly subordinated to
crony capitalism, aggressive muslim has led to horrific riots & the loss of many lives,
uninterrupted trespassing from belligerent neighbours has become a unsolvable problem.
(exempli gratia Assam riots)
While Singapore, a small nation recovered lately from british, is often refer to as one of
the "Asia's economic tigers" It's economy is driven by electronics manufacturing &
financial service, shipping & international trade etc.
However, after the death of its leader Mao in 1976, a new leedership & economic reforms
were ushered in. Nowadays, china is one of the world's top exporters, & is attracting
record accounts of foreign investment. In turn, it is investing billions of dollars abroad,
& emerging as one of the most powerful countries on earth.
The latest report released by The Census Bureau of America shows that more than
49 million (16%) of people in world's richest nation were living in poverty in 2010. The
Poverty rate soared to its higher level. Since 1993 as per the official calculation. It still
the richest country in the world & a mighty military power.
"A slower-growing India will be more financially vulnerable, poorer, full of
frustrated young people & taken less seriously by the rest of the world"
This quote from the Economist should send warning signals to people who play a major
role in shaping the destiny of our country.

Over the last few years, India has often been touted as the next big super power,
emerging nation, will go past China and so many other good adjectives. We all
get elated with these tags.

All of a sudden, some have started raising serious doubts about India. Reasons
attributed for this are many: number of scams surfacing day in day out across
the nation, coalition politics, lack of decision making ability at the top and many more.

" Sarbesham no janani bharat
Dharani kalpa lateyam"         (Radhanath Ray)
But Bharat, still a developing country & it will take time to flourish & to become a
developed nation.
